Ce and Mqondisi’s wedding was at The Orangery, Maidstone. A really lovely venue with lots of outside space and beautiful gardens for wedding photography. So with this in mind I think our hearts sank a little when the good old British summertime did what it does best turned to rain.
Well we need not have a worried, no amount of rain was going to stop this party!
Ce’s bridal preparations were at the Tudor Park just a short drive from The Orangery and on arrival she was quickly ushered inside out of the rain. The ceremony was already planned to be inside and Mqondisi and his groomsmen were in good spirits as they waited. The ceremony went to plan and afterwards everyone enjoyed drinks in the bar. With the chairs removed from the large ceremony room we were able to use this area for photos.
Everyone was keen to start the celebrations and that meant dancing! The whole bridal party danced their way into the wedding breakfast to big cheers from all the guests. Then at every opportunity the room burst into more dancing, during the meal and through out the speeches.
And just like a rain dance in reverse the rain stopped and the sun came out and we were able to take Ce and Mqondisi outside for photos to make to most of the gorgeous gardens at The Orangery. We had some lovely light looking across the lake at the old boat house before returning inside for, yep you guessed it, more dancing! After the first dance we left Ce, Mqondisi and their guests to dance the night away. I’m sure the nights party was a blast!
Congratulations Ce and Mqondisi.
